Balhannah Wine Estate in the Adelaide Hills comprises 23.3 hectares of established vineyards and is now looking to welcome visitors to the property. A new cellar door and multi-purpose space will offer refined settings for tastings and seasonal plates, alongside boutique tourist accommodation nestled quietly among the vines.
The project has been designed as a quiet response to the landscape, offering understated, refined spaces for tastings and seasonal dining. Features include a providore, a private tasting room, a cellar, and a lawn with views of the surrounding area. The multi-purpose space will support exhibitions and creative partnerships.
Six premium accommodation chalets sit just beyond the cellar door. Positioned to provide a sense of seclusion, the chalets offer beautiful views, capturing the dawn light and the wider horizon.
Our aim was to create a place that feels inevitable — something that grows out of the vineyard rather than arriving on top of it. The cellar door and chalets are intentionally calm, allowing the landscape to do most of the talking. We wanted visitors to feel that they’re stepping into the quiet heartbeat of Balhannah, not simply visiting another venue.
